bulletMasters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Navy.
bullet20 years experience with property management and home repair. My father owned a construction company, and I helped build the house I grew up in.
bulletAlmost 20 years experience as a Mechanical Engineer in the Navy. I understand the “Hard” systems: Heating, Pluming, Electrical. I know attention to detail is important to keep things "ship shape."
bulletEducation and experience in all aspects of residential construction, including Foundation, Structure, Roofing, Water Penetration, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning), Electrical, Plumbing, Exterior / Interior Evaluation and Insulation.   
bulletSuccessfully passed the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) Approved National Home Inspector Exam, as well as the National Association of Certified Home Inspector (NACHI) Exam.
bulletLicensed by the State of Alaska and must complete 8 hours of state-approved continuing education each year to retain that license.  
bulletMember in Good Standing of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors the largest Professional Home Inspector Association in the nation.  
bulletI passed 3 separate examinations (Technical Expertise, Standards and Practices and Code of Professional Ethics) to even be considered for membership and must re-test every year.  
bulletI must complete an additional 16 hours of continuing education each year (for a total of 24 including 8 hours required by state).
bulletI abide by NACHI’s Code of Ethics.
bulletI adhere to and exceed the NACHI as well as the American Society of Home Inspector (ASHI) Standards of Practice.
bulletI am a member of FREA, the Foundation of Real Estate Appraisers, as a Residential Real Estate Inspector.   
bulletThe State of Alaska requires insurance for General Liability and a Fidelity Bond. I am also insured through FREA for Errors and Omissions as well as a Certificate of Indemnity that covers any Realtor or Broker who refers or works with me. This protects the seller, the buyer, the agent and the broker, and myself.
